I've been part of the Highwood team since 2011, joining after retirement and finding the perfect part-time role. I work Sundays and Mondays on reception, and cover holidays when needed.

Over the years I've moved from kennel assistant to receptionist, which means I now get to know not just our guests, but their owners too - and I love that side of the job.

Outside of weekends, I also help run training classes during the week. I'm passionate about early puppy training and firmly believe that starting young makes for a happier, more confident dog.

At home I have my own terrier - a real character, as terriers tend to be. We enjoy our walks together, especially when there are other dogs along for company.

It's a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team, and after more than a decade, Highwood still feels like a great place to be.
